Labyrinth

„Labyrinth“, das legendäre Soundtrack-Album von David Bowie und Komponist Trevor Jones, ist 2017 wieder auf Vinyl erhältlich.
Es ist der Soundtrack zum gleichnamigen Fantasy-Abenteuerfilm von Jim Henson, in dem Bowie selbst als Jareth, der Koboldkönig, zu sehen ist.
Das Album wurde ursprünglich 1986 auf MC und LP veröffentlicht. Die erste CD-Veröffentlichung folgte im Jahr 1989.
„Labyrinth„ enthält sowohl Instrumentalstücke von Trevor Jones (“Into the Labyrinth„, ‚Sarah‘, ‚Hallucination‘, ‚The Goblin Battle‘, ‚Thirteen O'Clock‘, ‚Home At Last‘) als auch einige gesungene Stücke von David Bowie (“Magic Dance“, ‚Chilly Down‘, ‚As The World Falls Down‘, ‚Within You‘, ‚Underground‘). Die Titel „Underground“ und „Magic Dance“ wurden als Singles veröffentlicht.
In Deutschland erreichte der Soundtrack „Labyrinth“ Platz 29 in den Charts.
